Pinocchio's Park

Collodi is best known for the Pinocchio Park, a destination for many children who can relive the history of the famous puppet created by the imagination of the writer Carlo Lorenzini (1826-1890)

Who does not know the story of Pinocchio?

Perhaps not everyone knows that the stories of the little wooden puppet who dreamed of becoming a real boy , were born precisely in Tuscany.

Pinocchio , Jiminy Cricket , the Blue Fairy and all the characters of "The Adventures of Pinocchio " are in fact the fruit of the imagination of the Florentine writer Carlo Lorenzini , aka Carlo Collodi (from the name of the country of origin of the mother) .

And just in Collodi , a small town a few kilometers from Pistoia , you can visit the original Pinocchio Park , dedicated to the famous puppet.

The park is completely open. Walking inside , surrounded by a well-kept vegetation , we find As the main protagonists of the story. Pinocchio , the Fairy , the Cat and the Fox and many other characters , allowing visitors to trace some of the most significant episodes of the story .

Here reigns the imagination

The Park of Pinocchio is an enchanted place , the atmosphere would call almost retro . Do not expect special effects nor hyper attractions ( at most a few small fountain with water games ) , here you can stroll through large bronze sculptures and various works by artists who have worked for the park since 1956 , the year of the opening of the garden , to date .

The magic of this park you must, in my opinion, to the charm of the tale of Pinocchio , very present in our hearts , memories and imagination of all children , but also adults.
